Our first computer lab project, before officially becoming Project:CC. Working with Project-Kenya (Now SPEAKenya) and MSOE, we prepared 15 desktops, packed them in our checked bags, and made the trip to Wundanyi, Kenya.
There were many unexpected challenges on this trip, including building tables, running wires, grounding issues, power consuming CRT monitors.. Not to mention most of our first times in Africa which brings communication barriers and culture shocks.
In the end the lab was successfully set up with 8 Ubuntu desktops running at once.
